From the recording Terra Sangue Mare
The text of this song is a poem written by the Sicilian-American poet, Nino Provenzano who hails from Castellammare del Golfo. After having performed at one of Nino’s readings in 2015, Michael Delia was so moved and inspired by Nino’s poetry that he began composing a suite based on Nino’s work. This is the first song of the Michael’s suite.
